Rumpke - Garrard County Transfer Station

I can not stress enough how terrible their services are! They pick up only when they want. I pay a lot for trash service. They could at least do their job and pick it up when scheduled.

Why is the transfer station always closed when it's supposed to be open? If the hours have changed, please update the website! This is the second time the gates are locked in the third Saturday at 8 am! It's almost 9 and they are still not open. Update: I emailed Rumpke as requested about the actual hours of the transfer station and received the following: Thank you for your e-mail. You may bring items to our transfer station for disposal. Our transfer station is located in Garrard County, KY at 275 Hanging Fork Road, Lancaster KY 40444. The minimum charge is $30. For 500lbs and above, it is $70 per ton. We accept several methods of payment, cash, check or credit/debit cards. Our landfill hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm and on Saturday's 8:00am-12:00pm. We do not accept hazardous waste, liquids of any kind or anything containing Freon. These rates do not include yard waste. If you aren't going to answer my questions, don't waste my time with a response. The transfer station is clearly not open every Saturday. Is it open ANY Saturday?

We all complain about our current trash cans at some point, right? Well I couldnt even begin to tell you how laughable the service is from rumpkee. You could have dandelions and shredded paper in your trash can and they will still pass you up leaving you with an over flowing trash cans for yet another week.

ZERO STARS. The Garrard County transfer station has failed to pick up my trash 8 weeks so far this year. We are in week 9, so all but one week Rumpke has failed to pick up my trash. I have called every single week and have been assured it will not happen again, only for Rumpke to miss my pick up the next week. Ive tried to remedy this sitstuon every way possible but nothing works. Im at the point of cancelling my service because you all have been so bad. I pay far too much money to spend an hour every week on the phone trying to get my trash picked up. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Started new service on June 6th. Trash is still setting next to road waiting to be picked up. You better believe they did not waste anytime to send out bill. Service was paid for 3 months. Called customer service on June 13 bc trash was not picked up, was told someone will pick it up within the next couple of days. Called back Friday June 17th and was told because of the weather but someone will pick it up Saturday June 18th. Guess what! Trash is still setting there waiting to be picked up, plus another weeks of trash also. Horrible service Service: Waste recycling
