Midcoast Aerus

Stay away from this company - total scam. We first came across this company in 2021 when it was named The Pure Experts doing water and air filtration systems. Came to our house and tested our water in our house for free. Convinced us we needed several thousands of dollars of water filtration systems. The need for filtration systems in our area is common so we fell for it. They said the sale came with lifetime maintenance check ups, filter replacements etc. When it came time for a first maintenance visit the company had disappeared. Resurfaced recently as Midcoast Aerus, different name but same phone number and similar address. They had our info and reached out to us to schedule a maintenance check of our systems. The person who came wanted to charge almost $700 in filtration equipment, and then told us we had bacteria in our water and quoted almost $5,000 in additional equipment needed to fix the bacteria problem that was urgent. Now skeptical, we got a second opinion from another water filtration company who offered an extensive lab test by a certified lab. Our water test came back completely clean. Meanwhile the Aerus rep is still emailing and calling me with special offers only good through this weekend and trying to help us take advantage of the discount and make our water safe. Scam scam scam dont fall for it like we did initially.

Edit: Wasn't aware this company was a rebranding of a company I had redo my bathroom in 2021 under a different name. Wanted a bathtub replacement, only to discover that the previous owner had never sealed the tub, and there was no sub-floor. A $1,200 job quickly became a $10,000 job. This was not this companies fault at all, and in fact were very communicative during the process. Still do not like getting calls at work for water testing, would prefer an email/flyer. Review amended to correctly reflect my experience.

Our well water tastes amazing! Adam was the technician that came out to work with us, and he was fantastic too. He was respectful of our space and was nice to our kid and our dog. Thanks Adam!

We purchased a new water system in 2020 for $4500, now they want $4700 + to replace that We asked them to remove their junk system (300lb+/-)and they said no

A heat pump was installed by this company and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. They were professional, fast and very knowledgeable. Also, the price was right for me. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you Midcoast Aerus!!!
