I am an avid walker even in the Maine winter weather. In October I began feeling pain on the outside and the back of my left knee. I pushed through the pain and continued my daily routine. By November I was in a lot of pain and on Thanksgiving day was my final walk, until I heard about Stem Wave Therapy. I started a series of the Stem Wave procedure twice a week for ten weeks. As my knee improved I continued with my weight class and introduced myself back to walking a little bit at a time. Today I am pain free, and back to walking 4 miles 5 days a week. I cannot say enough about the Stem Wave therapy, and Dr, Ben is as nice as can be!

This is an honest review of the 6 weeks I spent coming here. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT DR BEN. He's a very nice, personable guy and I'm sure he does want what's best for his patients. HOWEVER, the technique that is used here is one that I remain extremely skeptical about. He uses a actuator tool that is just simple clicks on the spine and seemingly gets used randomly around the body. The actual "adjustments" are extremely minimal and did not translate to an overall improvement in any particular area of my back and shoulders over the time I gave this program. Now let's talk about the timing and length of sessions. He is very flexible on scheduling. HOWEVER, despite me expressing disdain for previous chiropractors and their short, cold, boiler plate sessions with Dr. Ben and being reassured that this would be different. This was worse. I actually timed a few of his sessions, and the average was about 4-5 minutes. And this is with everyone, some even shorter. I sometimes sat in the waiting room and saw 5 people go in and out like an assembly line, 40 bucks a pop. I firmly believe that you can't expect to see major changes in a body with such little time coupled with such a minimal "adjustment". I try to give people the benefit of the doubt as much as possible, but there were many times I left feeling scammed, and misled. It does feel like 6 weeks of sessions and hundreds of dollars later I feel no different than at the beginning and this just further adds to my skepticism of chiropractic care in general. If you are looking for a Dr that spends quality time with their patients and provides a very thorough adjustment for pain relief, this is not the place for you. Very sorry Dr. Ben, this just honestly did not move the needle for me in any way.
