The Corner General Store

I have never experienced such poor customer service. The woman who owns the store was verbally abusive to each person in my group for no reason, yelling at us, and when we asked why she was acting so badly towards us, she told us to leave the store and not come back. Several other customers commented on her bizarre, outrageous behavior. We simply wanted to support a local business, but will not be returning and encourage the owner of this store to re-evaluate her behavior towards customers. Please choose a business that is friendly and non abusive. We chose Joe's Super Variety which is just a short walk up away.

The lady yelled at us for having Maine IDs after we mentioned being from South Carolina (which is true). It was very odd and unpleasant to say the least. She also yelled at us about wearing masks on the way in, when everybody had a mask on except for a couple of us who were outside in the process of putting them on before coming in. She should stop literally yelling full volume at her customers, it's not very hospitable.

I was very displeased with my experience at the Corner Store. The rude grouchy cashier insisted that me and my friend buy $5 worth of items to use a debit card when I didn't have cash. When I scratched my face due to an itch, the cashier snapped at me and dictated how I was supposed to fix my mask when it was on fine. The lady snapped at me and even told me how to wear it "properly" even though my face was protected and she was wearing just a face shield. When we left the store she even took off the shield making her seem like a hypocrite. This lady really needs to learn how to talk to her customers and learn her place when it comes to customer service. Me and my friend were very uncomfortable in the environment. There was a single box of Mac n Cheese and a single box of Lucky charms and bunch of candy. The candy left me with a bad taste in my mouth and even tasted stale. I even went to a 7/11 after and the food was even better and cheaper. Never thought I would say that but it's absolutely true.
