Brett is awesome! I was a professional garden/ landscape designer and installer for 45 years in Connecticut. Moved up here 8 years ago to a friends home whose foundation plantings were fire bushes and yews! Straight from the 50s! I lucked into Brett Black Birch Landscaping, and was delighted by the creative energy, and great sense of humor Brett possesses. Im limited in what I can do physically, more so each year. I have worked with Brett and his team for several years and am always very pleased with their work. He is professional, responsive, communicative and creative. Year over year I have come to rely on him and dont know what I would do without him to help me with my garden. When it came time to expand, and design another area, he was the first person I called and his concept design was perfect!! Looking forward to seeing another beautiful installation. Brett is very passionate about native and green landscaping so I was happy to have found him since I was hoping to transform the backyard of my new home last summer. Brett was very accommodating to my interests and concerns, and patient with my questions. He showed up as planned or would alert me if there was a change in plans. He went above and beyond installing a patio for me personally when he his subcontractors were all busy. And he couldn't have been nicer about it. Guest often comment on how nice the yard looks, and the birds seem happy with the native plants. I am using Brett again to design and install a meadow garden in my front yard this year. I easily recommend Brett/Sophia for landscape design and installations. I have worked with Brett on a few occasions, most recently on our urban patio project. He is thoughtful in design and creates both variety and harmony amongst plantings - size, texture, color, and seasonal timing for maturity and bloom. Im especially looking forward to how the design takes shapes over several years and really comes into its longer term full vision. If you want a landscape approach that is both interesting and differentiated from the neighbors; give Brett a call this fall and plan for next year.
