Kevin was very polite and friendly. He greeted us on our return when his shift was ending and made sure we were taken care before we left.

The hotel is gorgeous and was originally a bank ages ago. It felt very luxurious for a 2-star hotel. It's an excellent hotel for the price. All you can eat breakfast is included. There is 24/7 coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate available in the lobby. There is no free cold drinking water in the lobby but there is a free water fountain in the gym on the M level that's 24/7. It's not in the safest part of town but there is usually a security offer guarding the front entrance. There is a small onsite bar but no restaurant. There is a small convenience store tucked next to the front desk that sells snacks and essentials. It is conveniently located walking distance to Lexington Market, Hippodrome theater, and the convention center. There is shampoo, conditioner, and body soap included in the showers. We had a double queen suite and there was a comfortable work station set up in our room and a thoughtful table for the couch to work from as well. Our room had a microwave and was supposed to have a mini fridge but the fridge was missing. It was obvious that housekeeping missed a few spots while cleaning the room prior to our arrival. We also had an issue with housekeeping because they entered our room while we had the "do not disturb/privacy" sign on. They changed our towels, cleaned our bathroom, and took out the trash but didn't make our beds. It was very odd. I don't believe they stole anything but the situation was very odd. There is no room safe to keep valuables so I highly encourage anyone not to leave valuables in the room. Valet was $40 a day. Regardless of our odd experience I still give this hotel 5-stars because of the low price, amenities, friendly staff, and amazing room we got from our 10th floor room. Rooms: Great view from the 10th floor of Bromo Seltzer tower. I recommend upgrading to a suite. There is shampoo, conditioner, and body soap included in the showers. It Nearby activities: It is conveniently located walking distance to Lexington Market, Hippodrome theater, Edgar Allan Poe's grave, and just a few blocks away from the convention center. There was also a lite rail stop very close by. Safety: There was almost always a security guard at the front door. You need a guest key to use the elevator. Noteworthy details: This gorgeous hotel was built as an extension of a 1900's bank. It has a luxurious hotel feel at motel prices. There are comfy chairs and tables in the lobby to work from or eat at. There is a nice gym and a nice meeting space in the Mezzanine.
