I use CAN's pantry once a month. It's interesting because they have it set up like a small store. They give you a shopping cart and a paper that tells you how many of each item you may choose, depending on the size of your household. If you've been there a lot in the past, they may let you shop alone, but most times a volunteer will escort you around the store to keep you on track. It's a lot of food. Seriously, a whole grocery cart full. The past three times I have gone, I have received 20lb turkeys. Those things can keep me fed for well over a week. You also get fruit, veg, household products, cereal, pasta, breads, sweet snacks, meats. Sometimes eggs, cheese, milk. Thing is, you have to have the right paperwork. They're clear about what they require from you on their website, so check that out before you go for the first time. And you will have to recertify within 6 months, so keep your information handy for that. Closed on the weekends and Tuesday
