DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS. Stealing our money! Young School has charged us two consecutive months after cancelation despite confirming that we would not be charged. Horrible communication. No responses to calls, voicemail, or emails.

Pre-pandemic I gave this facility 5 stars and we loved our son's teachers at this time. However, post pandemic, and probably more affected by their acquisition by a larger corporation, the front office went downhill IMO. From my experience, they were dismissive and not engaging when concerns were brought forward. As with any school, some teachers are great and some are so-so. We loved our son's teachers in Brooke cottage, but after moving to the larger cottage (Forest?), our satisfaction went down. A couple of them were great and showed much interest in our son's improvement and growth and were very communicative, but others were 'just there' and some of the teachers also acknowledged this issue. Also, the prices kept going up and they were one of the more expensive schools in the area. However, I dont think the quality of the product is inline with the premium cost. This was our experience.

Have been with TYS at KR for 4 years and a half. My older started when she was 8 weeks old. Her teachers and the administrative team have been amazing. My daughter started off with Karla and except last year she has been with Karla. Karla is amazing. Caring, loving, knowledgeable and very passionate at what she does. My toddler says "Ms Karla is very sweet" at least once a day. Ms. Dale is a great director. She has great communication, plans great programs in the class, and addresses all of our concerns. We have always had a great group of teachers (Ms. Sharron, Erin, Dale, Karla, Shaheen) on the right side of the school and were very nervous when our infant wanted to start at the forest cottage (the left side). Very soon we realized that Heather, Kimi and the helpers (Jade, Cami, Jess) in forest cottage are amazing teachers. Every time we watch the camera we see one of them playing with our infant or caring for her. My infant litteraly opens her arms for heather and Kimi in the morning. This is very assuring. They share many pictures and share all the moments with us. After the transition in management there have been issues that needs improvement such as tuition increase, cutting the hours after COVID and still billing the same tuition, errors in billing, but non of them were a deal breaker and we never doubted how much we love TYS at KR and mostly because of the amazing teachers. but We are very thankful we chose this school and were able to stay with them for years.

We have given the Young School two chances - on in Ellicott City which was absolutely horrendous, but decided to try another one since a friend of ours utilized one in the past and was happy. We toured this location and it seemed fine. Before even wasting our time on a tour, we called the school to see if they had openings because we needed something pretty much right away as we had pulled out kids out of the previous location. They told us yes, we could start on November 21. The Education Manager showed us around - I wasn't able to see much because it was during a nap. One thing I did notice was that they didn't turn the lights off for the nap, which was strange to me, and one child was resting on a cot in the doorway, half way in the hallway. I inquired why that was and was told that the child had probably been disruptive to others so was placed in the doorway. A red flag for sure, but since our child is not disruptive I thought we would give it a go and that I would watch via live feed to see how they are treating mine. We decided to proceed and were told 'You will hear more from us regarding registration and payments early next week, and they should be able to start with us on Monday, November 21 - this is the earliest start date for them.' I emailed on a Sunday - a week before they would be starting to ask if we could set up a meeting with the teachers so I could assess them, but never heard back until Friday. I sent a reminder during the week - nothing. On Friday I called and spoke with Stephanie Witherspoon, the school director. She told me she had no idea what I was talking about and that they didn't have us as starting on November 21. She said she would talk to Jessica, the woman who gave us the tour and their Education Manager and get back to us. This is what she said, copy-pasted verbatim: 'Thank you for your patience. Jessica and I were able to meet today to discuss registration for your girls. It's seems that I misspoke when telling her that we had opening in our Jr. Preschool program. After going through our waitlist and updating our roster from our most recent transition, our Jr. Preschool classrooms are currently full. However, we will have an opening in that program in July and I can add your girls to our waitlist for summer camp. Just let me know if you would like to do that. I apologize for that miscommunication. If anything changes, I will be sure to reach out to you both.' Now you decide if this is what you want to deal with. Never hearing back, they never respond to emails, they commit you to something but immediately forget about it, and then fail to remediate appropriately. I don't know what this Stephanie is doing there running a center, but she is obviously completely incompetent at that.

Hello my kids started in October. The director is new so didnt explain everything clearly they are over price $620 per child. Very high and my kids both are under 24 months . My daughter when she first started would come home everyday with stains on her clothes from food almost everyday but she is 20 months . They told me they dont use bibs to put around her so I brght my own in . Some of the teachers was nice but I believe cause some has been then very long they intend to think they have rights like they are the director . So they will let u know if your child is sick when they can come back not the director thats not there position to do that I thrght . But I feel like things should be broken down explain better .the director needs to handle things when presented to her .
