Very happy with the service we got at Apex Vet for our cat. The place is new, clean, spacious, and calm, with plenty of comfortable seating and exam rooms. The staff were exceptionalpleasant and professional. My regular vet, who had given me a list of possible ER vets in the area, had warned me that I should expect a 3-4 hour wait at any of them. I was pleasantly surprised that within 5 minutes of arrival, the technician came out to get more information and within 20 minutes I was speaking to the vet, who had already done a preliminary assessment of our cat. The vet outlined our options and costswe decided to leave our cat there for further tests and treatment over a few hours. After the testing, the vet was clear in her explanations of what they had done and found, and in recommendations for post-visit care. It has been a while since we had to go to an ER vet, but the prices did not seem out of line for such service.

So grateful with Dr Shen and the 2 nurses who took care of my dog Casper, as well as the receptionist who did our intake over the phone. They were kind, professional, and very caring for Casper who was going through an unexpected food poisoning. I truly felt we were in the right hands! Cant recommend Apex Vets enough!

Update: Trying to paint your client as disrespectful and zealous does not change these facts: 1. After Apex, an independent vet has ran tests and confirmed that the kitten was not extremely sick. To be completely transparent, we brought her in Apex because of diarrhea. Otherwise, she was normal - eating, sleeping and playing. Your employee even took a picture of her playing. Since we refused Apex treatment plan, Tierney Roche did not run any diagnostic tests. The judgement of extremely sick is purely based on the observable symptoms. Tierney had no prior record of the kitten. Why did Tierney insist that the kitten was so extremely sick that we needed to talk about putting her down? Even in the reply, the owner still insisted that the kitten was extremely sick. He is completely aware that no diagnostic tests have been run. 2. The reply did not address why Tierney Roche convinced us our kitten likely has the most fatal diseases. I assume a vet fully knew that an indoor kitten is not in the risk group for any of those diseases. Not to mention the kitten was from a reputable cattery/breeder. If the owner addressed any of the questions above, Id assumed people would trust your integrity a lot more. Blaming your client for being angry is simply being dismissive of taking your own accountability. I am happy to send the kittens health record to anyone who is reading this. I gained nothing from writing a bad review. My only hope is that no other caring pet parents have to go through what we did.'Never let a tragedy go unprofited.' is their motto. Be prepared to receive news that your pet has less than two weeks to live, very likely had the most severe diseases, all to add extra services and tests you didn't need. How many people would not be emotional upon hearing that? That is when they will conveniently give you a hefty bill. Even more conveniently, they had multiple credit cards you could apply for. The severe diseases they mentioned affect less than 1% of indoor pets. Call me old-fashioned, but the vet, Tierney Roche, discussing explicit details of death for less than 1% chance is pretty callous. I am sure they are great for other services such as euthanization. However, they are greedy when the opportunity arises.
