My family was attempting to fulfill our dream of leaving South Florida and moving to Massachusetts. After looking at realtors online and calling a few, we found a true gem in Maryellen Burnell at Michael Toomey & Associates. During a brief visit to MA, we met with Maryellen in her office, detailing what we were looking for in a home. Whether buying or selling a home, its a stressful process, made doubly stressful since we were looking for a home while still living in Florida. Plus, this was a two-family relocation, and we were attempting to find two homes preferably next to each other in Worcester County. Maryellen knows the area well, is patient, kind and very accommodating. We perused properties on the MLS through daily emails we received using the search criteria we provided to Maryellen. Whenever we saw perspective properties, Maryellen went to the homes and took videos of the properties, houses and neighborhoods and shared them with us. We took a trip to MA for a vacation and while visiting found two vacant lots for sale and considered having homes built. Maryellen worked with the sellers/builders realtor, and it seemed we had found the perfect location. However, we ended up walking away from the deal when the seller/builder made a stipulation we thought to be unreasonable. We were incredibly disappointed and were back to looking at homes online, and not having success. Maryellen called one day and suggested contacting the seller of the two vacant lots, and again proposing the compromise he had originally rejected. This time, he agreed! We closed on both properties, and they are in the process of being cleared so the building can begin. Maryellens perseverance was a win for us. She took a negative situation and through excellent skills in negotiation made two families dreams come true. We couldnt be more thrilled with Maryellen. Her professionalism, warmth, patience, and knowledge of the area made her a pleasure to work with. We will always be grateful.

The name "Toomey" is synonymous with "real estate" in North Brookfield. For me there was no other choice when it came time to sell my home. Mike is professional, polite, patient and responsive. There is no one else with his experience. Whether you are selling or buying a home, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't talk to Mike.

Maryellen was through, attentive and made sure everything was taken care of. I have a very busy life and was looking for something very specific and she handled everything in a way that greatly reduced my level of stress in the buying and selling process!
