DoubleTree by Hilton Windsor Hotel & Suites

Beautiful hotel and view. Very well maintained and friendly staff. Would stay here again. Rooms: Spacious rooms. Could use more TV channel choices and would be nice if you could select your own Amazon or YouTube accounts.

Beautiful hotel and friendly service staff. However after we arrived and went to check out the pool we found out that it was closed. The front desk staff told us we could use the pool at the Best Western next door. Would have just paid half the price to stay at the BW had I known this would be the case. Super inconvenient for the price we paid.

Wonderful hotel with a great view of the Detroit skyline. Staff was very friendly and courteous and everything went off without a hitch. I was allowed to check in 2 hours before originally planned, which was convenient. The only complaint I have is that it's very easy to think that the restaurant that's built into the hotel is part of the hotel, and therefore serves free breakfast. With my Hilton gold status, I thought I would get free breakfast, but it turns out this hotel doesn't serve breakfast, and that the restaurant is a separate and fairly expensive entity. A bit of research would probably have shown me this though, so I don't hold it against the hotel. However, maybe a sign or something mentioning that you do not receive hotel perks would help people avoid making the same mistake I did.
