I had just spent all day at the hospital with my son, otherwise I would have left. To start thing off, the waitresses ignored me until I tracked one down to ask for someone to take my drink order. Then we were for gotten again as the 3 servers spent 15 minutes cleaning one high-top table. When we finally got our food the disappointment continued. The pickled green beans were barely pickled. The chicken looked, felt, and tasted like it had been sitting in a warming rack for at least 30 minutes. It was also barely up to service temperature. The spoon bread was dry and again looked like it had sat for a while before service. The only thing that I could say was done well was the hush puppies. But unfortunately for The Eagle, you can't build a reputation on on side that is done well. As a final note, they need to decide whether they are a gastropub or a sports bar. They are trying to walk the line between the two and giving off more of a sports bar vibe.

We were greeted promptly. Tables were open but unavailable...must have been short staffed on a Friday evening. We ordered 5 drumsticks, greens, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes mashed with marshmallow topping and biscuits. The chicken was under cooked and the brine was overkill. They were small drumsticks too. The greens were tender and seasoned but too much vinegar. Mac and cheese didn't have seasoning just a crumb topping, no salt n pepper. Sweet potatoes naturally sweet, seems no added sugar. Marshmallows were scorched. Biscuits...dry and hard...We ordered two drinks...well, we won't be back. Question, why did the African American female servers have a rag on their head and not the Caucasians. Things that make you go hhhmmm
