The smoky taste of food here is very good, if you can find it available by the time you get to the front of the line to order. With a lot of food restrictions, there is a very limited subset of this menu I could eat, never mind what I'm actually interested in. My favorite is the more recent addition to the regular menu, the smoked cheeseburger, but 4 out of the last 5 times I've been here, they had run out during dinner, whether around 5 or as late as 7:30. They have had these on the menu long enough that management should be able to anticipate demand and continuously have new batches becoming available every 15 minutes or so, but we've never been met with someone on the staff informing us that they don't have any right now, but would you be willing to wait for 10 minutes for a fresh one out of the smoker? The cheeseburger is just one example, but we've also walked out when other dishes, like the Yard Bird, were unavailable. My family wants to patronize this Northville location, but to drive here for 20 minutes only to be disappointed by this location's poor inventory management, leaves me making the decision to stop even trying to give them my family's business. Dietary restrictions: Detailed ingredient information is very hard to find, whether online or posted in the restaurant. There are a lot more foods people are allergic to beyond the Big 8, and transparency goes a long way before one has to ask a manager for a binder with full ingredient information. Parking: Parking in their lot is free and fairly plentiful, with several spots reserved for disabled customers and some for military veterans, which is a nice touch. On occasion, we've observed a Mission BBQ branded military-style vehicle insensitively and illegally parked in the handicap parking spaces. Restaurant management should train their staff to avoid this incursion in the future, but to be fair, we haven't seen this happen in recent months. Wheelchair accessibility: Doors here are extremely heavy and do not have electrically assistive devices. Aisles are narrow, making one feel like you're being corralled like livestock. Chairs are limited and uncomfortable for those with orthopedic issues. Some of the seating comes in the form of long benches, making it less accessible to those with disabilities.

The food is awesome. My favorite is the moist brisket, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, and kickin collard greens. They have great desserts too.
