The most amazing deal in DOWNTOWN TRAVERSE CITY!!!! It's not a luxury place - its a shared housing minimalism urban affordable downtown housing location with amazing location and FREE LAUNDRY, FREE BILLS, amazing RENT RATES and historical hotel / hostel type ambience with an amazing lobby and multiple shared kitchens and multiple full / half bathrooms. Some rooms have views of the Bay-views, with private bathrooms, hardwood floors, these are higher rent but still lower than surrounding areas. Some rooms have limited windows or no windows with no closet and this is a very basic room to rent with very very VERY low rental rates. It's not for everyone, but for the right minimal lifestyle type courteous nice quiet person this is the BEST in TRAVERSE CITY!!! I have lived here a year and I never want to leave, but I will be moving out of state this year, that's the only reason I'm moving out!! THANKS WHITING HOTEL - I LOVE YOU!!!!

Great if you love being in jail! Or solitary confinement, if thats your thing this place is great!!!!!!!!! Room was 90 degrees. technically a storage unit lease because there literally was no escape window, but the room still came with a bed? People need to know that unless youre getting a window room youre literally getting a glorified storage locker. No ventilation. No AC. Just a mini fridge that helps keep your room nice and toasty in these hot summer months

Visiting family, I love the location situated perfectly in downtown Traverse City where's there's so many things to do on foot, like shopping, boating, the marina, fishing, Clinch Park and beach and so much more. I will say Traverse City's downtown has saturated itself with too many bars/drinking establishment's to the point of over saturation, sadly, but that has nothing to do with the Whiting, just my observation of how downtown has changed and not for the better. Be leary, Traverse City and Grand Traverse County police sit waiting for clientele to leave one of many drinking holes and off to jail you go if you're over the limit, it's hammer time with a DUI offense! Don't drink and drive.

Great prices month to month studios and apartments,different sizes aswell apartment studios in traverse city downtown, I love the sistem the owner has over here,very nice place,very close to everything, I travel for work and I really like this place,definitely worth to rent a room over here,very quite place and relaxingplace!!!
