Some of the best Chinese food Ive had, period. Really, who would have thought in Traverse City? So glad this group is here.

This is clearly food made by people who know and love good food. Everything we tried - stir fried cabbage, Szechuan chicken, cucumbers, cold noodles, Mapo tofu - was so fresh and full of flavor. Were from Houston + Los Angeles and have been spoiled for awesome regional Chinese cuisine, and would put Crocodile Palace up against some of our favorite spots. Loaded with well-balanced spice / heat and prepared in a way that lets the ingredients shine through (not over cooked, not greasy). Its takeout only, and thats my only qualm! Id love to hang out here because anyone making food this good would create an awesome vibe. Going back as soon as I can, and glad we ordered enough for leftovers.

My only regret is that we didnt go sooner! I got the mapo tofu (pic attached) and my wife got the dan dan noodles. I am capital w White and cant handle spice, but the tofu was manageable and so flavorful. The dan dan noodles came with the sauce in the side, so we were able to adjust the spice level ourselves. Good serving sizes, clean kitchen, and nice guys. Made it fast and fresh while we sat there, so were definitely stopping by again :)

We finally were able to enjoy what everyones been talking about! The Dan Dan was amazing, loved the flavors and spices. We will be back soon!
