So grateful for the help that I received from Lord + Heinlein, especially from Melissa. She was able to postpone my conference with the Board of Nursing to help better prepare myself and ultimately help secure my nursing license. I dont believe things would have gone as smoothly without her and my license would have definitely been jeopardized without her assistance. Additionally, I was able to make a financial plan with Lord + Heinlein that helped me to be able to afford this unfortunate circumstance. I will forever be thankful for all the support that was given to me by this law firm.

I cannot recommend Lord + Heinlein enough. They are compassionate, professional, and communicative. I called Melissa for help and was feeling scared, overwhelmed, and confused. On our first phone call, Melissa took her time to answer all of my questions and explain the process of working together. She was incredibly kind and I left the call feeling confident. I felt Melissa was thorough and was impressed by her work. I ended up getting the best possible result. I felt the fees were reasonable and she was transparent in them. Lord and Heinlein played a pivotal role in resolving a complaint lodged against me by a former employer with the MN Board of Nursing. To provide context, in 2020, I tragically lost my brother to suicide, which left me grappling with profound emotional distress. Subsequently, in 2021, while working in the ICU of a facility specializing in trauma care, I found myself repeatedly assigned to care for patients who had survived suicide attempts. Despite my earnest pleas to the charge nurse and manager to avoid such assignments due to the potential triggering of my PTSD, my requests were disregarded. On a particularly challenging shift, overwhelmed by reminders of my personal trauma, I made the difficult decision to leave my shift early after informing the charge RN of my distress. I reported off to a responsible RN the details of my assignment, and then went home to recover. Regrettably, this led to my termination the following day. The failure of the ICU management to acknowledge and accommodate my past trauma, despite my repeated requests, pushed me to a breaking point. Recognizing the insensitive nature of my dismissal, Lord and Heinlein provided invaluable support in navigating the complexities of the situation with the MN Board of Nursing. Through their diligent advocacy and effective communication, my innocence was affirmed, and my nursing license remained unblemished. Melissa and Rachel were great to work with. Although this was one of the most difficult things I've gone through thus far, Melissa was different than any other lawyer I've worked with (I've had three), in that she also helped support me through the process emotionally, through genuine empathy are care.
