Until now, have used Bratkowski Tax Service for 10 years with no complaints. After my experience last year, I would go to jail for failure to pay taxes before I would use them again! I dropped off my taxes in March of 2021 and followed their COVID protocol in doing so. I was told to expect a delay in getting my return due to the pandemic which I totally understood. They initially told me my return would be completed by around the first week of May and would be responsible for filing for the extension. After not receiving any communication from them by the end of May, I called them. They advised me they needed to have an office visit because of my business deductions and wanted me to schedule a in person visit. I agreed but they could not schedule me until July. My wife and I went to our schedules appointment and even after their new office policy of fewer face to face meeting with clients, we still had over a one hour wait. This is not what caused me to get so upset. While sitting in the waiting room, we could hear Charlie being very vocal about his political beliefs, unsolicited by the client he was talking to. I felt it was unprofessional but he is entitled to free speech. When our name was called, my wife and I sat down at the desk wearing mask as directed by the sign on the door. We noticed that none of his employees were wearing mask. Charles sat down without wearing a mask and ask my wife and I if we had been vaccinated! I replied "due to my belief in not sharing our medical information, I prefer not to answer" in which he promptly took out his mask and put it on his face. The manor in which he conducted himself was very rude. For the next 5 minutes, we got lectured on how the vaccine works in his political option. For the record, I'm not anti vaccine nor a political person. I was horribly disappointed and angered in his actions and demeanor towards my wife and I. I went to his office for tax advise and nothing more! We were treated with disrespect and wanted to leave but stayed and did not cause a scene.We will never be back!
