Bridal By SHL

OMG. This post is so long overdue but I cannot recommend this place enough. I had some pretty significant changes to my wedding dress that Liz and the team absolutely nailed. I wish I had photos of the before but the after will have to suffice. Seriously the cutest shop and such a talented group of people. Youll have to check it out to see what I mean 1000000/10 recommend.

The minute you walk into the door at Bridal by SHL, you know you are in the right place! The staff are there to listen to every detail and get you exactly what you need. As a vendor, I have personally loved when our couples work with Bridal by SHL - in both gown selection and alterations/customizations. I also felt so comfortable giving them my own wedding dress to take care of and be preserved! Highly recommend not just for their amazing work but the amazing humans they are! -Heather, TPTKC

Liz custom made my entire wedding dress! I met her at a vendor show and told her what I liked what I didnt like and had said theres so many dresses that I enjoy but I want to change so many things about them, so she suggested to go to custom route, and turns out it was actually cheaper to go to custom route that it was to buy a dress off the rack and then alter it the way I want. Liz worked with me for almost a year before my wedding to design it and made it exactly how I wanted to have the dress fit! I have more of an athletic build, and wanted the straps to be more up on my shoulders, like a sports bra, compared to most of the dresses that are on the outside part of your shoulders , but I also still wanted a deep V-neck in the front and the back to show off my back, Liz did just this! She was absolutely perfect and I never had any hesitation with working with her. She also let me pick out all of the fabrics and every little detail that went into my dress, but I did ask her for her creative style as well on some things, because I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to fashion , I have grown to become great friends with Liz and cannot thank her enough for being able to be real with me throughout this whole process and also to be a calming person to have on my side.

Had a blast trying on dresses and found THE ONE. Liz and team are professional, but make you feel like you're among friends and make the experience fun. I live in Des Moines and so glad I made the drive!
