La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St Louis Route 66

Kita at the front desk was amazing!! She got us checked in with no problem was extremely friendly and took care of everything for our group with ease. We would come back just for the great customer service. Besides everything else was great also.

This place is clean, accommodating, has hot breakfast, an inside pool, friendly and helpful staff. Beds are comfortable. Kid friendly. Has a snack bar and complementary coffee and water in the lobby.

Hotel owner doesn't want accessible liabilities? The reservation was for a king wheelchair accessible room. The bed in my room was too short to be a queen size which would have been sufficient. I'm average height and my legs extended past the end. If you aren't in a wheelchair, this is a well run hotel. The wheelchair accessible room isn't on the first floor but could be. At the far end of the second floor hallway, everything looked goid until I saw there was no shower stool. When I asked the front desk, I was told they had two but one was stolen and the other was broken and it will take a long time to get another. Good for me that I travel with my own but I still had to make a second trip to bring it to the room. Checking out the following morning, I was told that the hotel owner doesn't want the insurance liability so he won't provide one to any of their several accessible rooms. Which one of them was lying about it? Noteworthy details: It's not as accessible as it should be.

Room was gross with food and dirt. If you want to keep your lunch dont look behind anything seriously gross. Bedsheets did look clean so thats a plus. People across from me were heavy pot smokers. Whew smelled the whole hall up and my room. I stayed here specifically for the hot tub but was also disappointed here. Tub was filthy I wouldnt bath my dog here, ok I would. But i wouldnt use it personally because it looked nasty. I went first thing in the morning and hot tub was surrounded with dirty towels with butt imprints from people sitting and soaking their feet. Seriously is there no cleaning staff in this hotel? I did not interact much with staff but when I did they were not polite but they were not rude either. Anyway stay at own risk as for me I will NOT be back. Rooms: Unfortunately very dirty room. Food on floors. Food was obviously dropped and left dried crusty spots on floor I mean I hope it was food. all surfaces not wiped down fingerprints and stains here and there. Smelled like pot and hallways smelled to. I checked bedsheets and they seemed clean so that was nice. Noteworthy details: They seriously neeed to improve, train, or hire a cleaning crew. Dirty hotel!

Stayed 1 night with my friend and 2 animals (cat&dog) Friday, it was last minute bookings that might be why we got room right behind elevator an close to front desk an pool. Didn't get much rest because of heavy traffic all night . The Breakfast they served was delicious. I also noticed checking my account yesterday that they never refunded the 50$ fee they charge at phone booking so room cost over 300$ for 1 night. Will be calling today to find out why. Will update this after I talk to them an my bank..
