Update: Buffalo Block reached out to me and asked me to come try their establishment again so we'll see... My original review was a 3 star. I've given them one of those stars back for reaching out and showing they care. Very classy!!! I responded back that I would give them the 5 star review they fall short of on our first visit after they serve me their 5 star steak on my next visit. I will update this review again in the near future. I'm not a professional food critic but when you charge $150+ person I've paid enough to lay down some critique. So this was my first trip to Buffalo Block and I was really excited to eat here and unfortunately I wasn't super impressed. So first the ambiance was very nice and the low light instantly made me comfortable and at ease. Looking at some of the paintings there I was able to imagine myself being there in 1912 on a Saturday night in Billings. The smells of the hardwoods burning was a very warm and comforting smell. The service was precise and the food was timed perfectly and our server looked crisp and fresh. She was ultra attentive but in no way was she annoying or pestering, she was a true professional. I would give her a shoutout but I forgot her name sadly. The martinis and appetizers( escargot, calamari, brie) were absolutely delicious. Where BB lost two stars is my filet was flat and I ordered it medium rare and it had to be at least medium well and my dates was supposed to be medium and hers was my kind of rare medium rare, maybe they mixed them up. I added scallops so my plate was $80. The higher price isn't something that bothers me, what bothers me is that your arrogant enough to charge almost double the price of my fav steakhouse restaurant off Zoo Drive but I'm not going to mention them by name but sadly their 1/2 price steaks tastes so much better. The scallops and broccolini were perfect. Desert was amazing. Everything was amazing except for the dry bland wood flavored roast beef they called the Main Course. Sorry Buffalo Block I'm not trying to be mean but if you are going to be by far the most expensive steakhouse in Billings....have Billings best tasting steak.

Everything I hoped for. Asked for my steak to be medium rare and to have a nice char on the outside and was prepared to perfection! Taste exceeded the price. Gained a patron that is sure to share our experience. Next visit, I'll be ready for a Tomahawk, can't wait.
