I've used Lincoln Glass many times in the past, as they were a small local shop. One of the hallmarks of a good business is the fact they'll take the small jobs and the large jobs, knowing that building relationships on the small jobs leads to the large jobs. I went in today for a small job, and found out they have a $50 shop setup fee now, no exceptions. I understand the small jobs don't make a big profit, but this policy makes very clear they don't want any small jobs. That's their choice, but it means I'm going and recommending somewhere else for all my jobs now.

Ordered a piece of tempered glass to use on top of a dinning table, it was replacing a piece we had for 15 years. I called in the dimensions of the glass, asking for rounded corners and beveled edges. The person on the phone was good to work with and I was confident after review of the order that I would be getting a piece of glass with rounded corners and a rounded beveled edge. The day of delivery, I got a call that the delivery people were on their way. The glass was brought in but they would not put it on top of the table (literally laying the glass on top of the table) because that was installation and I did not pay for installation. Instead, they were going to leave it next to the table. After a call into the Lincoln Glass Office, the delivery people did place the glass on the table. It was then that we saw there were not rounded corners to the piece. I called in with the issue and the person I spoke with (same person I placed the order with) asked if I ordered radius corners and I said I ordered rounded corners. Her response was a radius corner is a rounded corner. This was the first time in the process that I was hearing the term radius. Not being a person that works with glass I would not have had any way to know to ask for a radius corner, but the person taking the order obviously knew that radius and rounded mean the same thing. I was also told that because they didnt come out and measure and take do the estimate onsite, there wasnt anything to do but buy another piece at full price. After several calls in and speaking with the same person I ordered the piece from, I was told that because they cannot fix the piece that was delivered and that they best they could do was to offer a discount on a 2nd piece, and I would still have to pay a delivery fee for the second piece. This was all just a disappointing process, and we will not go back to Lincoln Glass.
