They helped my grandpa pass away in peace. After a terrible stay at a different facility, the staff was really kind and treated him with dignity and respect. HUGE shout out to Dr. Shawn on the 5th floor, he saw him and treated him as a person in a way we didn't see anywhere else. It made a huge difference. Thank you.

not sure what has become of healthcare. It is clear that medical professionals do more gossiping than they do looking at your records and actually trying to find what the issue is. There is zero accountability cuz these are contractors and CHI washes their hands of any complaints. Documentation is subpar. CHI should invest in tablets so charting is much easier for these nurses and doctors so things are not missed and patients are not missed diagnosed, and Care is not delayed. It is utterly impossible for a healthcare professional or any professional or any person for that matter to remember very specific detail of an interaction with anybody, days, weeks, or hours later. Charting Days later a week later is absolutely unacceptable and leads to incorrect information misdiagnosis delayed Care and More frustration on behalf of the patient and the professionals. CHI has had more than enough funds to make this happen Do better... I was evaluated by a vascular surgeon who did not even listen to my heart. Also evaluated by a medical provider in the ER who stated she completed an exam that was never done they say the patient is negative for certain symptoms that they are actually positive for which actually brought them into the ER or to the providers office. They say exams are being done that they have not completed. How can they possibly figure out what is wrong with the patient or if an emergency exists if they are not completing proper exams? I filed a complaint and the response was I am sorry that you felt our staff was rude to you. I'm saying that your staff deliberately lied about an encounter and exams that were never completed. This is hindering and delaying care and the response is I'm sorry you feel our staff was rude. No documentation requested nothing. I still suffer everyday but no answers. I'm told I'm just fine. Provider said , I contribute her symptoms to anxiety! No proper exam was even completed.. I was told when I filed my complaint I would not be treated any differently however the next ER visit was even more atrocious than the one before. This is absolutely unacceptable on every single level. Some lady who I later found out was my nurse who never introduced herself never came in to triage never asked me about current medication symptoms nothing, came in and handed me an anxiety medication that I have never taken before nor have I ever been diagnosed with anxiety. I was directed to the ER by scheduling to pick up halter monitor for blood pressure that keeps skyrocketing and dropping. Came in there with extremely high blood pressure and they didn't monitor it at all throughout the time I was there didn't care what medication I was on before walking in the room and handing me a med to take not telling me what it is or what it's for. Why were they to assume I had anxiety? I wasn't in an anxiety state of any kind what would have happened if that medication would not or should not have been mixed with any medications I was currently taken? How are they to know what I am currently taking if they don't ask the fact that the nurse never even introduced herself shows the lack of care. Not to mention my niece had sat on a chair in the waiting room that someone peed on. They kept telling us they would get her a change of pants at least and every time "they left my room to get her something," nobody ever returned. My niece was left sitting with urine on her pants that wasn't hers for hours clearly they knew The lady discharging me stated that the scans of my heart and chest etc all showed normal findings. I explained to her that no such scans had been done. She said are you sure... then explained she must have read the wrong patient's chart however the doctor stated there was no emergency and I was being discharged.. Holter monitor now proves what I told them.. All findings over the last year show at the least this artificial disk has failed!!! I'm sure I have a deep neck infection. This place is a joke.. at 35.. I'm just waiting to die I guess... All due to a face plant fall . Incompetent Do Better!!!!
