Ethan Wonchon Lin, MD

I am an OR nurse who works with eye surgeons all the time and Dr. Lin is exceptional. The office staff was extremely pofessional and prompt. There was no waiting. Dr. Lin is one of the best opthalmologists in town. My mom received excellent care from Westwood eye. Her cataract surgery changed her life and we cannot thank Dr. Lin and Westwood Eye enough. We are forever grateful. Dr. Lin takes great care of his patients like they are his family. We highly highly recommend Westwood Eye!

I have been a patient for regular annuals. Now with an active eyelid infection the office will give me an appointment one month from now, not exactly helpful... when I insisted to get something sooner as I may need prescription medication to avoid eye damage,they give the blanket statement" if you think it is an emergency you need to go to the ER", Seriously? Like they have ophtalmologists in an ER. Pathetic.

THIS PRACTICE DOES NOT FOLLOW MEDICARE RULES I have been on Medicare for many years and seen tens of MDs and other providers. Such offices bill Medicare first, then Medicare pays them and sends me a notice showing how much deductible or co-payment I need to pay. I walked into this office and second or third sentence from the person behind the desk was. "You are paying "XX" amount today." I tried to explain that it is a Medicare appointment but I do not know if this person paid attention to what I said or cared about it. Then I was given forms to fill and I did. After about 15 minute wait I was told that I will not be seen that day! I reminded them that when I made the appointment I was not told that I have to make a payment without Medicare informing me how much I should pay. I did not get any response. I was never told how they came up with the amount I was asked to pay. I was given no explanation at all. I am glad that my appointment was for annual check up and not for an urgent visit. Now I know how this practice operates and I will stay away for sure. And about those five-star reviews, I wonder if employees of this office completed them. Or perhaps the relatives or friends of this man???

Dr. Lin is a wonderful, ethical, and thorough cornea specialist. He has offered excellent second opinions, and has a warm and caring bedside manor. He is also a highly skilled surgeon. Highly recommend.

One of the most compassionate and thoughtful doctors I know. Always considerate of our patients, and has a wealth of knowledge! I am very comfortable sending my patients to Ethan, knowing that they will always get the best treatment.
