Worth a note: most reviews here are from 4 years ago when they had different owners and they ran a campaign asking for people to write them reviews in return for rewards. Management: With exception of superintendent, who was on point, the management could be quite unresponsive and unavailable at times. The big reason we moved out was that raised rent considerably every year and last time they raised it 44%!!!!! When we protested we were told that Jersey City did not have rent control and that their pricing system worked like booking an airline ticket.. They did use to have security that they let go of as it was not a part of the amenity fee although they used it as a selling tool to get new tenants. Units: The units are nice, huge windows with great views into the neighbor. Layout of the 2 bed is interesting as it does not even fit a queen bed with a frame. A box spring and mattress fits if you dont care about opening the door all the way and if you push it all the way into the a/c unit which then would block the air intake. We had our a/c changed 3 times. The soundproofing is good between apartments, but not to the hallway, so just know that when people walk in the hall. They will be able to hear your full conversations. Other than that, out unit was quite nice. Neighborhood: up and coming. Some good coffee shops, Liberty state park within half a mile, light rail a block and a parking lot away. We loved our neighbors! And all of them has dogs. Long story long, living there was alright, but we moved out

I have lived at Solaris Lofts for around 5 months. The experience started a little awry with the management not communicating about key pick up when we had to move in and also miscommunicating on the security deposit. The agent advised the security deposit covers Insurance for the entire lease term (15 months) while the portal only gave me a 12 month contract option for a higher price than the communicated "all-inclusive" security deposit. That matter remains unaddressed. Besides that, the experience has been good so far. The Building has good amenities, a well-equipped gym and light rail station is a min away. Liberty Park is also close by. When we moved in, they had awfully smelling carpets in the elevators which were recently removed so that issue has thankfully been resolved.
