Dollar Car Rental - Newark International Airport

No customer service to communicate with when we made a call. We call several times but no available customer service to talk to on the phone. Since we have questions or inquiries in mind.

Absolutely terrible experience with this location. The rental I received was not safe for highway travel and smelled of marijuana. They also did not tell me when I was signing documents I was signing for $500 worth of extra insurance, these people are scam artists , do not rent from here.

Going to start by saying front desk staff (at airport) was amazing and very helpful. Trying to reach the company by phone is impossible. Here comes my rant... Rented a car for 9 days. I know this is my fault by not taking the all inclusive (platepass / toll service). I paid cash for all the tolls during the week and unfortunately forgot my us money wallet on the last trip of the last night and had to use the toll device located inside the rental car. At max those 3 passes thru the toll would've cost 20$ USD but come to my surprise a week later at home when I got a bill for 182$ USD. Was charge the max for 1 whole week (129.95$ USD + 2 days @ 25.99$ USD/day). Am sorry but how can you justify charging a full week + 2 days when I only used it for 45mins. Getting charge the max for a day (25.99$ USD) would've been reasonable. I ended up paying 260$ CND for something I would've paid a max of 30$ CND. sorry but will not be renting anymore. please be careful if you are going to use the toll device located inside your rental.
