Lucky Boy Restaurant

Respectfully, the food we had here just was not very good. The owners were exceptionally friendly and welcoming though! And it sounds like they have been in business for quite a long time. The customers that were in there (it seemed to be an older crowd) were chatting with the owners with familiarity. We were not aware of the history of the establishment but, we have driven by a few times while in the area and became intrigued by the restaurants concept as well as charmingly unmaintained exterior. Overall, it was worth a try and the prices are low (the owner kind of just told us the new prices as the menus have not been updated apparently). We paid a little over $20 (cash only) for a burger, fried rice, and 2 shakes. The shakes were an odd icy consistency and certainly not like any shakes that I have ever personally had. The strawberry did not contain any fruit but instead had a pink flavoring mixed in. The burger was alright but the rice was sadly quite bland (food did come out hot and fresh though). We probably would not come back but again, the owners seem like truly good people and I cant help but hope they continue to stay in business for their loyal customers that seem to frequent the restaurant.
