Good price/quality ratio, good bed and nice view from the window. On the other side of the block, the best aikido dojo, where I trained every day. Opposite the hotel Dinosaur BBQ, where you can get good food and beer.

I stayed here a week. The rooms are tiny but the location is good. They are building a high rise condo right next door with an attached wall. The doors are so thin you hear EVERYTHING in the hall. Biggest reason for the 2 star review is cleanliness. I'm a ginger so have fine and very light colored hair and you can see they didn't just miss a bit of hair here and there.

The front desk team was by far the best part of our stay. They were so friendly and helpful and just awesome humans. Thank you specifically to Christian, Kyrie and Darron!!! Great location near union subway stop and awesome neighborhood. Rooms are small but clean and really its all you need. Will be back!

The Industrialist offers a unique way to vacation in New York City and Brooklyn. Gowanus, the neighbourhood it is located in, is a cool residential area, having access to shopping and restaurants on 5th Avenue, gyms and indoor bouldering, and entertainment at the nearby Barclay's Center. The adjacent neighbourhoods of Park Slope and Cobble Hill share the laid back vibe of Gowanus which offers a different experience to the more usual Manhattan based New York vacation. The staff are great and willing to help with any travel needs you may have and the rooms are great, having super comfortable bedding. Highly recommend!
