I will start off by saying, the employee at SmileDirectClub who did my daughters scan was the kindest, sweetest woman and the experience there was good. She got our hopes up by saying that they would probably move this tooth, that tooth, bring this forward, etc etc etc. Not knowing that she wasnt an expert, gave us false hopes that aligners would be a great, money saving option. Now onto the next steps in the process.. Once you get the phone call that you are accepted into the club, they give you no other details except that the aligners will ship in roughly 4-6 weeks. The immediately take out money and send you an email right away to have the option to pay for express shipping to expedite the aligners to be made and ship within 5 days. It is $99. We did in face receive them within a week and were excited to start the smile journey. After further investigation into the box, we found that smile direct only sent out the top aligners. At no point in time were we made aware that the treatment plan only included the top arch and they didnt feel they were able to do the bottom. Very misleading in my opinion as all treatment information should be disclosed at the time of the acceptance call. This information would have flagged me that this was not the program for us and it would have saved me the initial payment, as well as the $99 expedited shipping. BE AWARE, if you cancel your membership within 30 days, you will get refunded your initial payment, you will NOT be refunded the expedited shipping cost, so plan on donating $99 to SmileDirectClub regardless of your decision to stay with them or not. I would also recommend looking at your last set of aligners to make sure that it is your desired outcome. After looking at my daughters last few sets of aligners, I noticed that the aligners would have turned one of her molars inward, which ultimately would have screwed up her bite even more. Paying $2000 for top aligners and $5000 after for braces, no thanks. Save yourself the trouble and have a reputable dentist let you know whats best for you. I could have saved a lot of headache.

This has been the worst experience of my life.I had supported I brought a lot of stuff from the store and I gave it a shot at the beginning because one of the big ones told me that if I gave it a shot and it didnt work she would refund me my money back. At the the end I gave up because I was all done with the sets of aligners but my teeth looked the same. They said I had to go back to get a new set and start all over I was discouraged and when I went they didnt tell me that I would loose getting my refund. When I called and asked for a refund the women was rude she said that they could only give me part of the money and that thats good enough for her I told her that wasnt the agreement but she didnt care. Now I have to go get braces so lesson learned also all dentist told me they are no good.
