On August 31, 2022 I went to see Kurilenko for a broken molar. They xrayed my mouth and Kurilenko comes into the room and stated that I needed 7 root CANALS and 8 EXTRACTIONS. He refused to remove the broken tooth unless I paid $1200 cash for membrane and bone graft. I needed help immediately because I was going on a cruise September 4. His staff practically jumped on me for insurance ( I'm a retired officer and my husband is active duty I'm covered by both policies). They wrote a predetermation saying I would need to pay $1200 out of pocket for EACH OF THE 8 EXTRACTIONS TOTALLING OVER $9600. THAT DIDN'T INCLUDE THE PRICE OF THE TEETH WHICH WAS ANOTHER $2500. I ASKED HIM WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS BECAUSE IT WASN'T LIKE THIS IN 2019? HE RESPONDED, " I DONT KNOW YOU TELL ME." I suspected they were FRADULENT AND SOUGHT A SECOND OPINION. The SECOND AND THIRD OPINION DENTIST AND ENDONTIST CONFIRMED THAT I DIDN'T NEED ANY EXTRACTIONS! KURILENKO WANTED TO REMOVE 8 FIXABLE TEETH JUST TO MAKE MONEY AND DO ROOT CANAL ON THE REST. HE IS A FRAUD AND I HAVE REPORTED HIM TO BOTH MY INSURANCE COMPANIES AND WILL FOLLOW UP ON THIS MATTER. I DONT KNOW WHETHER HE DOES THIS SPECIFICALLY TO BLACK PEOPLE OR EVERYONE BUT I INTEND TO FIND OUT. Update: PLEASE NOTE PICTURE OF THE SAME TEETH DR. KURILENKO WANTED EXTRACTED! ROOT CANALS DONE and CAVATIES FILLED ON OCTOBER 26, 2022. So AGAIN YOU WANTED TO TAKE OUT EIGHT TEETH AND KEEP 7 TEETH THAT NEEDED ROOT CANAL FOR EXACTLY WHAT PURPOSE? It seems Kurilenko's approach to dentistry is to give everyone with cavities FAKE TEETH AND SUBMIT FAKE CLAIMS TO INSURANCE AND CHARGE THE PATIENT FOR THE ALLEDGED SHORT COMINGS OF OUR " GARBAGE INSURANCE." THIS CON HAS A CONTRACT TO WORK ON MOS EMPLYOED BY CITY OF NY.

I wouldn't recommend persons of color to this Dental practice after i called to make an appointment for initial screening and was told they didn't accept my insurance this was a lie my insurance assured me they did and called them to inform once I went to the office for the screening and xrays. No Dentist was actually on premises but procedures were being performed it took 2 hours for the xrays to be done and i had to wait furthermore they gave me 3 appointments on three separate occasions for the same follow up witch they canceled each time because according to them couldn't make it to the office because he was on Vacation why make the appointment. I don't recommend this Dental practice

Nasty front desk workers. Super rude and tried to not answer the phone when thats their #1 job.

I just called this office as recommended by my brother's health insurance. I was first told that they don't accept insurance, however, when I mentioned that I was given their location as a participating oral surgery location, I was told to hold on. I was then told that if my brother was were to get his extraction done there that he would have to pay $600 for membranes to be put in the area and a dental plug. When I explained that all he wanted was his extraction, I was then told that the oral surgeon doesn't take his insurance that only their dentist does and that I should reach out to his insurance again. I told her that I would call the insurance to inform them that they have inaccurate information about that location accepting insurance for oral surgery, the lady then said that that doctor in particular didn't take my brother's insurance. I will be calling the insurance company so they can clarify this for me. This is crazy because my brother is deathly afraid of dentists and everyone is trying to upsell him on every visit....SMH. They don't realize how hard it was to get him to finally get this procedure done. They are making this harder than it needs to be.
