Mika is the best! Shes so sweet and did such an amazing job designing my custom wedding reception dress and completely altering my ceremony dress. Shes been wonderful to work with!

Working with Mika was one of my favorite parts of the wedding process. I said yes to my dream dress only to find out that they were no longer taking orders. So I said yes to another dress, but it wasnt quite what Id been hoping for, and I was a little heartbroken. After many sleepless nights, I found Mika online. I sent her pictures of the dress, and she told me she could re-create it, and for less than the original. Not only that, but she made the dress specifically for me, changing the proportions for my body and incorporating feedback from me at the last minute. She also made my veil, which I felt complimented my dress perfectly. Seeing Mika for our appointments quickly became a bright spot in the stress of wedding planning. It felt like time set aside just for me, and a big plus was getting to spend time with Mika, who is so bubbly and sweet and effervescent. My mom loved Mika too. I really feel that she saved the wedding, and she made me feel special every time I saw her. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and I will cherish the dress forever.

Mika is such a joy to work with, I couldn't recommend her more!! She is professional, warm, talented, and a genuinely lovely woman who puts her soul into her masterpieces. I had less than a year to plan my wedding and kept running into the same problem at bridal salons - I wasn't totally in love with just one and felt like every sales rep was telling me the same thing, not to mention the long waiting period for the dress to ship in. After I found Mika, I knew everything was going to be okay. During our first appointment, when I was describing the dream dress I wanted, she had her iPad out and immediately started sketching everything out exactly as I was picturing it. She always had suggestions of how to achieve the overall look I wanted whether it was a neckline or length of the veil. She is also incredibly responsive so you always know where she is at in the dressmaking process. She was so understanding when I changed my mind a couple of times after our first muslin fitting and was still able to create my dream dress (and veil!) in just a couple of months. She also created my rehearsal dinner dress just one month out of the wedding (and hand-painted the flowers!). Having two custom-made dresses for my wedding is something I'm going to cherish forever, and finding Mika was a blessing. I felt so beautiful on my big day and I am definitely going to keep working with her on future dresses/gowns!

I absolutely LOVE Mika and her work is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I work in fashion and have very good but expensive taste, and after going to one of the top designer wedding salons in New York and being told that I would need to go the custom route anyway due to my proportions, I found my way to Mika and I'm so happy I did! She understood my vision but, to ensure we perfected every detail she went to a bridal salon with me to see the dress that we used as inspiration. Even though we should have just easily replicated the dress, Mika was able to make it better and PERFECT for me! She worked meticulously on the fit first with cotton muslin and then a silk under layer with a custom corset with exposed boning. She reworked the corset draping multiple times until it felt and looked exactly right. The work paid off and showed on my wedding day, I looked like the ethereal, timeless, and beautiful bride I wanted to be. My dad cried instantly and said that the dress was worth every penny. Countless guests complimented me and said I had one of the most fabulous dresses they have ever seen! Working with Mika was one of the best decisions I made over my wedding! Even if I had an unlimited budget, I would choose to work with Mika because I received a piece of couture made just for me by a talented designer and a wonderful and caring human being!

After having little luck finding my "dream dress" I took my vision to Mika and she constructed for me a couture gown beyond my wildest dreams. Mika is a creative genius who is deeply committed to giving every bride her very best. There's so much to be said about her skill, artistry, and work ethic. She understands so precisely how to work with different fabrics and how to achieve what will make her customers feel like their most glamorous self. Through her expertise and perfectionism, Mika was able to construct a silhouette I never thought could be achieved on my body. I wanted a very specific art-deco-natural pattern that had lots of sparkle. When we couldn't find the perfect fabric for my dress she enlisted artisan's in India to hand bead the entire overlay for my dress. Understanding my style and flair for a dramatic look, she designed a cathedral length veil that used the same hand-beaded pattern from the dress. Working with Mika is a true gift (she's hilarious and a treat to be around) but you have to know it is work.You enter into a creative collaboration and commit to helping make every decision with her along the way. (I had a fashion savvy friend who was also available to come to each and every fitting to help me articulate my vision, which was very helpful.) For me and my friend, we loved getting to co-create with Mika and it made wearing it on my wedding day even more special. From the first discussion about my vision for my gown, to the muslin fitting, to my wedding day...
