        Theyve stolen our designer clothes multiple times. Complaints to management reconciled nothing. Sometimes things seem like they were just pressed and not cleaned.

        I dropped off a long dress to get a stain removed. They charged me $160. When I got the dress back, the stain was still there. I went back to tell them the stain was still there. They said sorry and took it back. When I got it back second time, the stain was still there. The guy said if we tried it twice than its not gonna come out. I told him I would like a refund and he said NO cause not every stain comes out. I told him I paid $160 to get the stain removed but he would not refund me back. I will never go back to this cleaner. Very disappointed with the service.

        Hallak Cleaners did an amazing job on my Max Mara coat. It was very overdue for a clean and was returned in pristine condition and more, with noticeable attention to detail. They even went ahead and re-sewed the inner lining that was starting to come undone. Would 10/10 recommend them if you have precious clothing that you cherish and needs some extra care, they will be in good hands. A dry cleaning worth the investment and the trip from Brooklyn! Thank you!

      Blu, this is a serious accusation that we'd like to address. You are not in our system under this name so I am unable to do any research or reach out to you to discuss. Our management team meets weekly and this type of situation would have definitely been discussed - and a resolution would have been offered. As for the "stolen" claim, this is something that we simply do not do. Hallak has cameras overseeing every area from the itemizing, exterior, and plant; they were placed there to protect clients' items from any wrong doing from outsiders - not from our team. If there was a 'missing' item, our team can check manifests, review camera footage, etc. As a family-owned and operated business, stealing would simply never be tolerated. And it certainly wouldn't be brushed to the side. Please reach out to our Office Manager, Leah, to discuss this situation (as you are not in our system under this name) so we can confirm the validity of this claim and take the next proper steps.

      Thank you for your feedback, Julie. Whether good or bad, it is important to hear from clients. While I see we successfully cared for a few other items, it is disappointing to hear that you will not be returning because of an unsuccessful stain removal. I believe the issue would really be around the miscommunication regarding the care done. When a client has items that have set-in stains or stains hard to remove without being too aggressive, there are typically two types of conversations. 1) A note explaining that we were unable to remove the stain 2) A risk release for additional care that may damage the fabric. When the dress was taken in the second time, you should have received a release. At that time, you would have been able to give us the green light to attempt stain removal with a more aggressive treatment.
