While the room itself is fine, I could only give it 3 stars due to the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. This was a negative for me as a business traveler staying for multiple nights.
Food & drinks: The included breakfast is typical for the hotel brand. The coffee station is tucked away near the little convenience store away from the breakfast area.
Noteworthy details: No mini-fridge in the rooms.

Close to South Ferry Station and close to the ocean.
I was able to walk to Wall Street Station, right between the Statue of Liberty ferry terminal and the New York Stock Exchange.
Wall Street Station may be more convenient for trains.
I made a reservation because it was a good price in this area, it was convenient to access, and the breakfast was simple, but the muffins were delicious and I was able to make waffles. I stayed for 2 nights, and the hot menu has changed slightly.
The room was large enough to accommodate two large carry-on bags. There was also a hair dryer.
The reception staff were smart.

I must say that my stay was very good, I came for business and stayed three nights. The bed was soft and for those who complained about the heating and that, in my case everything worked perfectly.
If at any time hot water does not come out of the shower, I recommend leaving it open for a couple of minutes and it will start to come out.
The reception staff is extremely friendly and in my case I got a lady who speaks Spanish, I speak English but anyway, it's nice to see someone who can speak your own language.
The hotel is in a quiet area and although the rooms are not exceptionally large, they allow for a good and restful stay.
Do not hesitate to ask what you need at the reception, they will give you great customer service within their own possibilities (As long as it is not something crazy of course) Oh, and regarding the rate, remember that this is Manhattan ;) so for me was inside the pricing range of the city.
Rooms: The rooms are small but cozy and do not lack any service.

A decent budget friendly hotel in an accessible location in the financial district of NYC.
Pros:
* Easy subway access- 3 different stations all within 5 minute walk from the hotel
* Friendly staff at check-in and welcoming at other times too
* Clean room
Be aware:
* Room is small and very basic- then again, this is New York and it is a Hampton Inn brand- so I wasnt expecting much.
* Shower is disappointingly weak.
* Photos here from the hotel dont really represent reality
