Graduate New York

We loved our stay at the Graduate. The rooms were really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And it's in a great location. It was lovely and peaceful after being in Manhattan. Only 4 stars because the service charge at the end got me asking, what for? There is a fridge in the room. But no drink making facilities. The restaurant downstairs is overpriced. And the same with the bar upstairs. Luckily, there was a coffee shop around the corner, and Granny Annie's for food and drink at a reasonable price. The only item I had from the service charge was a 'free' coffee in the morning.... so that's not really free, but a very expensive coffee.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2022. The structure and rooms are very nice with an excellent view of Manhattan. The location is perfect (3rd avenue reachable in less than 10 minutes) thanks to the cable car and the metro less than 400 meters from the hotel. The area is also very quiet in the evening. The gym is also well equipped. On the top floor there is a rooftop bar with an amazing view. The sore part is the services: there is no room service, so they don't make the bed, they don't change the sheets and they don't change the towels, unless you go down to the reception to ask if they can provide these services for you and often they do anyway. they forget (I honestly don't understand the point of not having room service like in any normal hotel considering that it is a 4 star anyway). Breakfast also leaves a lot to be desired: you can choose between 2 very simple "menus" where there isn't much choice even between the types of "pastries" (clearly there is no buffet counter)
