        The hotel was very exquisite. I loved the ambiance of the lounge and Bar area. Front desk attendants were very helpful and kind.

        We chose the hotel based on some reviews, the location and the fact that it is a luxurious, historical one. The location is good and the room was clean. But what a big disappointment we had from the service! They are really struggling to offer the service they should as a big brand, mainly on the front desk. We arrived after a long flight, nobody really welcomed us and there was a chaos at the lobby. Our room was not ready, and we needed to come back at 3pm. Even at 3.30 it was not ready and finally we got into the room at 4. The 2 double bed room is really small for a family. Any contact we had with the front desk during our stay was really bad. They were really impolite and rude. You are supposed to be in one of the best hotels, so the front desk should be trained accordingly. Except Milly (I think it was her name) everyone else was rude and had an attitude whenever we were asking a question. The hotel is part of the holidays experience; the experience starts from the welcome and the service. Obviously Barclay does not pay attention to this.
