Regal Landscapes

Regal Landscapes installed five large retaining walls at our home. The project began January 2023 and lasted until September 2023 - the extended duration was due to errors, poor construction and general incompetence. The first four walls were built and all seemed fine, so we added a fifth wall with stairs. When rain got behind the walls, I had made a call to Jacob (the owner) to explain why the walls were blotchy in appearance. I asked if he installed French drains, he assured me he did. However, we found the drains were not adequately sized to handle the amount of water from the hillsides behind the wall(s). He also did not waterproof the walls, explaining the appearance. Instead, he exposed the backs of the walls with sheets of plastic. When I asked that they be treated with proper waterproofing material, his reply was well, that is the right way, but that would cost you more money. The fifth wall began to do the same - blotchy appearance and red clay penetrating the block pores. The steps were affixed to the house with no expansion joints and the finish of the concrete was DIY, at best. On April 28th, 2023, I sent a photo to Jacob to express concern for the water not draining behind the smaller wall, and he assured me there was adequate drainage in place. The morning of August 28, 2023, the wall collapsed, and no French drain or crushed rock was anywhere to be seen. As soon as Jacob arrived he blamed the collapse on his friend that completed the grading, the same guy who had recommended Regal. Needless to say, grading was not the issue. The wall was rebuilt with drainage, only it was not installed correctly, which was verified by his friend who completed the property grading. The downspout drains that were placed behind the small wall were put together with duct tape. After construction, Jacob disappeared again, I had to text his friend to have him contact us, then for five weeks after, he left the job unfinished along with a pallet full of block. Six months later, we still have blotchy looking walls and water pooling on the sides. And if that wasnt enough, the downspout drains are not working. We asked Jacob for a ten year warranty since his work is less than ideal and he agreed. However, when I asked that it be put into a legally binding document that we can both sign I have not heard a word. We paid Jacob 80,000 in cash. We owe him for mulch that was not included in the estimate, so I informed him if he supplies a guarantee as indicated, I will pay for mulch delivery - no reply.

Jacob, owner of Regal Landscapes showed up by appointment to look at our yard for a patio. He marked and measured and told us approximately when he could start the landscape/hardscape job. He said our job was to go to a company he suggested to choose the type stone we wanted and offered suggestions. He then said he would sketch out a plan to send to our HOA. We did what he ask and WE HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. He does not answer his phone EVER. ( well if he knows were calling evidently ) BEWARE! He does t seem to be a finishermaybe even a starter!!

No response. After having Jacob provide alot for our new build , hardscape, sod, irrigation, lighting and much more we have not been able to get a response from Jacob after multiple attempts. Work had been great but not sure what has happened.

Look no further. The Regal team and the incredible owner Jacob Moore go above and beyond. Meticulous attention to detail, true expertise and professionalism, timeliness, reasonable cost - Regal has and does it all. Jacob is also just a kind and thoughtful man who truly cares about his work product and wants to make every customer feel like the only one. I am on my third major hardscaping project with Regal and I wouldnt use anyone else. I get the same sentiment from everyone to whom I have recommended this company. Hire them before they raise their prices due to endless demand for quality work at a reasonable rate.
