Suburban Studios Winston-Salem near Hanes Mall

I mean let's face it the other competition for extended stay hotels is bottom ringer at best but it's still better than what's out there but whoever the fat guy is running it he's going to run people out of their Rooms: Rooms recently redone nicer than other extended stay hotels that are in town but not nicer than your general hotel motel Walkability: There's plenty a place to go for eat drinks Hangout shopping Hanes Mall is right next to it it's in a great location

I find it extremely hard to give any stars to a business that doesn't even do the bare minimum. I had a non-smoking room that had obviously been smoked in. I opened the door and this is what I found. I did not end up staying here. I didn't receive any refund from the third party, Traveluro, even though I bought their protection plan. Safety: The room wasn't clean and had obviously been smoked in. I looked at other reviews that said this place has bed bugs.

great location close to restaurants and shopping. Room could have been cleaner but being an extended stay i came with my own cleaning supplies so it wasn't a big deal. (Nothing major just kind of dusty and then floor needed a good mopping). Pat and Sam at the front desk were great always finding the best rate. Being a choice hotel they do need to consider putting at least coffee if nothing else in the lobby but wish they'd did breakfast, even a dry continental breakfast it's better than nothing. All in all its a good choice of you need to stay somewhere on a lower budget. Rooms: Could update their blankets, curtains, and towels Nearby activities: Mall, mini golf, parks Safety: The fire alarm goes off way to often and is super loud Walkability: Excellent location for restaurants and shopping Food & drinks: Vending area has decent selection Noteworthy details: Pet fee needs to a deposit rather than a daily fee

Location was good and staff was friendly but there are MAJOR issues with the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. Our room had a terrible BO smell through it, the floor itself was sticky to walk on and had residue of spilt liquids and dirt on it, the surfaces had dirt and residue on them, the mirror had layers of smudge on it, there was a hole that looked like it had been kicked through our bathroom door, liquids spilt in the fridge, and POOP in our toilet. On top of that our key card to our room was disabled at 9am even though check out wasnt until 11am so I got locked out of my room while packing my car. Had we not arrived so late in the night I would have left and found somewhere else to stay. It definitely wasnt worth the price.

The only thing good about this placs is its location otherwise its hell. they kept trying to double charge me for room/pet fee. They are not pet friendly and the site lies they do not have a pet kennel or onsite store. Their "picnic area" was A picnic table thats it. They treated me and my family like we where poor and scum. And they tried to force me to pay for my dog even though i had a friend watching my dog the dog wasnt at the hotel at all and they tried to charge me for it and because i wouldnt pay it they kicked us out and they knew my mother inlaw was just diagnosed with lung cancer and had breathing issues and my wife just got out of the hospital as well. Do not stay here spend the couple extra bucks for sleep inn next door or any of the other numerous hotels and inns close by they are not worth the head ache
