La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Winston-Salem

This location was nice at one time but the stay, they had to change our room three times. There was a steel pipe sticking out of the bed. I almost hit my leg on it and the other room somebody had been smoking in there because there were incense all over the room and they told me they were charging $100 deposit for smoking so we dont even smoke it just wasnt a good experience we will not be staying there . We have been going to Winston-Salem for five years staying at that La Quinta, but this time it was the worst.

Looking like they're trying to do some updating and maintenance. Men's lobby bathroom ripped up in redo. Walking down the hall to our room reaked of cigarette smoking smells, of course that carries into our room. Our mattress was really soft as in needing replacement. We both seemed to sink down on each sides of the bed. Lot of other little things but I think I've shared enough.

I did not have a microwave in my room. I had a tiny fridge. Housekeeping was the nicest people including Bruce and Jack. Elizabeth did not like my children, was very rude and if your dogs bark then dont stay there. Waffles are only on weekends.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, no lie. Do not think im dragging anythingit was a terrible experience. We were on the second floor, and the whole hallway smelled like a mixture of peanut butter and weed. Winston isnt the worst place in North Carolina but the hotel is placed in one of the worst parts in the city. The building is outdated, I went to the fitness center and seen a little child (couldnt be more than 2) in there playing with the elliptical while his dad was on his phone, and seen a random lady sleeping on the floor My rooms bathroom had mad hair everywhere and I woke up stuffy in the morning after one night. The breakfast mainly had bagels and bread and they were both stale This hotel is cheap. Its not worth more than $50 a night. This is a place you bring someone that you dont love for a night to enjoy yourself. It need a renovation ASAP!!! If you dont want to take my word for it then thats fine, but dont be mad at me after you paid for a room and see how bad it is.
