    SCAM! Hilton Garden Inn in Winston Salem NC charged several hundreds of fraudulent charges to our debit cards causing us overdraft fees etc. The Mgrs don't care about their guests, finally had to file Fraud with our bank. I recommend NOT staying there. If you do, watch your Card Statements very CLOSELY!!!

    I WILL NEVER USE THE HOTEL AGAIN! The customer was terrible. The Manager and front desk person was very rude and not helpful! Choose another property!

    Grading this against other business class hotels there are three things important. Decent room, good location, good food. THE ROOM is a 5. Great desk space. Plenty of light. Comfortable bed. plenty of USB enabled outlets. The pool was great. Warm enough to be usable. A 5. But a hotel has to be functional. Little things like parking. Construction trailer land kills off the parking. I am parked across the street from the hotel. Then I had the misfortune of choosing a package with breakfast. The food ranges from bad to discusting. Of 6 days only one day had bacon. Every version of eggs was more or less the same. On the day I tried made to order it tasted like a pre made product. The hottest was great. If it was possible I would give the front desk staff below zero. I agree 100% with the comment about zero engagement. Rooms: The room is a 5. Great comfort. Well thought out outlets. Bright. Walkability: Several nice places to eat nearby you do not have to cross major road to get to. Food & drinks: Sub par to terrible. The $20 bar burger had me vomiting an hour later. The $13 buffet breakfast lack the basics most included places have. And would a strip of bacon once in six days kill you

Heather, we appreciate your review. The reason for the charges are based on your stay and the requests you made to the front desk among other things. At check-in you wanted us to split the payment between multiple credit cards which we accommodated. After this you stated one of the cards was being shut off due to "fraud" and stated to our AGM to go ahead and authorize the full amount on the second card due to the first one being shut off. Ultimately you were authorized one more room + tax than needed due to at first wanting the payment split, but then coming to ask the full amount to be charged on the second card fully. Everything would be evened out though after checkout and the remaining authorization would be returned to your card (if it already hasn't been). Additionally, you had a pet and after your stay it was discovered the dog slept in the bed and had vomited on the duvet cover. The stain was unable to be lifted from the duvet so you were charged accordingly for the cost of the duvet ($50.00). Anything relating to the double authorization was at your request and again, will be credited back (the timing of this is up to your bank). I hope this helped clarify the charges.
