Heavens Helpers Closet (701)

First off I understand this place has ran by donations and volunteering and Im very grateful, But the last three times Ive grabbed from the so-called Unlimited section I have been humiliated and yelled at for grabbing too many even though they had just told me its as much as you want from the unlimited section. Men are treated differently than women, especially if theyre homeless. Everyone should be treated equally were all gods children. There was a shelf full of shampoo. They told me I couldnt have any, but gave some to my female friend Who had shorter hair than I do same With bedsheets, they had a whole shelf full of bedsheets and told me they didnt have any. Twice! Im glad they didnt know. My female friend goes with me every time because we were able to figure out how theyre treating people completely different. Not to mention when I found a place to live they started treating me different too compared to when I was homeless I appreciate everything you guys have done, but I dont appreciate being embarrassed and Im sure other people dont either just to get some free clothes to wear. The worst thing in the world is when youre sucking up your pride to go get a free service and you get humiliated and yelled at for something that wasnt even your fault. It just wrecks your day and it makes you feel hopeless and Small. God bless Ty , But there are some people there who are very kind. Its not everyone its select a few that just seem to look down at the homeless especially men.

A kind, compassionate, and loving place that takes care of people in need of clothing. The volunteers are helpful and caring. The clothes for the customers are clean and in good condition. The store is clean and inviting.

Amazing! I've never been treated so nice in my life. Like I'm a actual human being just trying to get back on my feet. Thank you so much
