Porter Creek Hardwood Grill

I was very excited to for girls night out and bragged about Porter Creek, as typically they knock it out of the park with food and service. We had made dinner reservations and were seated immediately. Our first drink order and appetizer came out reasonably, but appetizer was different than previous visits. The server seemed overwhelmed/preoccupied in other spaces and it took a while to reorder beverages. Maybe close to an hour after our initial order, our food was not arriving. The server apologized and offered bread, it arrived with four thin slices, and we were famished. He disappeared for sometime. 75 minutes into the wait, the 3 of the 4 orders arrived. I later found out the chicken on the salad was omitted, but they were so hungry, that they didnt want to complain. (Nor did server ask how food was.) The last meal came out 20 minutes after the first meals, and was inedible because it was burnt/over cooked. The server offered to comp the meal if he could get permission from the manager. We were told the kitchen completely ran out of food to make. I did ask for bread to take to my hotel room. When I received it, there was no butter or utensils. We empathize with management issues but we should not have had to pay for items never received or terribly received. Typically, I have enjoyed this place and often recommend it to others. I hope they can correct errors in their planning, and retrain staff on how to handle these situations.

Nice atmosphere for big parties, but the FOOD is SUBPAR and under seasoned and over priced for the apparent technique used to make the food.

Food was good. Servers need education on handing ready eat foods with their hands. Kinda gross considering how many tables they are serving. Plus touching dirty dishes,touching face, etc. Saw no handwashing. There gloves right there. If you have a open kitchen then think you need to make sure everyone is doing no bare hands on ready eat food. That why I won't eat here again. This how people get sick.
