I am a current resident at Congress Run and I would encourage you to stay far away. Here is my list of reasons why: 1. The parking lot is terrible. It's awkward to park in. In the last 7 months, we have had 2 catalytic converters stolen, been rear ended without communication, and had our headline cover shattered. Even if your car isn't having thousands of dollars in damage done, have fun stepping over the various trash, bullet casing, food remains, and used condoms. 2. I have no issue with the current staff, but I have issues with the lack of staff. The building is understaffed. The one maintenance guy for several buildings was let go. The one office worker is always running around. If you need anything, it's impossible to get it done quickly. 3. The apartment unit have constant "old" building problems. We've had our bathroom ceiling collapse - which took two weeks to fix. Our kitchen sink backed up repeatedly. After several tickets, they finally tried to resolve it after it flooded our entire kitchen and started into the living room. 4. The apartment works with a tow company...to tow cars for stupid reasons like an expired sticker - even after you tell the office you're currently working on it and have a written agreement for no tow. What makes it worse is that they never tow the illegally parked cars in the fire lane which are there nearly nightly. 5. The online website is full of lies. There is no on-site maintenance. The bark park is maybe chihuahua sized; it is useless. Even if your dog is tiny, watch out for liter in the area. It seems to be a dumping ground. There is also no picnic area. 6. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire building. The washers are tiny. It's a giant money pit. To make it worse, washer #3 breaks at LEAST once a month. 7. When I applied, it took them over a month to connect back with me. During that time, they of course raised the cost of rent. They also have a forced $100 water charge along with rent. $100 of water is enough for a much larger house. 8. The hallways have cigarette smell soaked into the paint. The only time you don't notice it is when the fresh smell of cannabis fills the hallway. 9. For the most part, the other tenants are great. However, the bad eggs (that all places have) are REALLY annoying here. They do a great job of ruining the place. Pros: 1. The hot water is FANTASTIC. 2. The rooms have ample closet space. 3. The contracted cleaner is fantastic. He puts in a ton of effort to keep the place looking nice while maintaining a great attitude for a never-ending task. Final Thoughts: This apartment is competitively priced compared to others in the area and throughout Cincinnati. The money you think you save on rent is quickly burned on other items like car repairs and laundry.
