Winton Manor Apartments

As of 2024, Winton Manor has become slightly better. Roaches are still a big problem. Bedbugs are still an occasional annoyance There are still communication problems between maintenance and the office, which leads to confrontations with frustrated tenants. You have to nag the main office or call the maintenance number multiple times before anyone does anything to help you. I still have to deal with pests on my own. Out of my own money. Effective, but costly. There are also common plumbing issues in the building that can lead to mishaps. Keep your items secure and your gear sealed away. Some maintenance workers can and will try to steal from your home if you are foolish enough to leave your wallet out, like I did. I cannot trust the people who maintain my apartment. I have to keep an eye on them as they work, or put up my camera system. I do appreciate the management/maintenance workers that want to make this place better and care about us. We value you and thank god for you. As for other issues... It gets very noisy at night downtown. Music is stupendously loud outside and I find myself having trouble sleeping, or staying asleep. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame installed a collection of giant speakers downtown and they can sometimes be heard across the street during quiet hours. I called them to complain and they actually did something about it. Amen. Next, the fire alarm goes off way too much. Incompetent or retarded people pull it and 9 times out of 10, it's a false alarm. It irritates tenants and damages hearing. Sadly, fire alarms need to be as loud as an air raid siren. Imagine standing right next to one. That's the one in my apartment. It's total ear abuse. I have a ruptured ear drum currently, and it's because of the insane decibles the alarm in my room puts out. I hate how the noise causes me ear pain. I want to cry in anger. I hate the things stupid people do. People here like to smoke weed. A lot. You can smell it in the hallway. On the elevator. The stair well. I hate the smell. Very ghetto. Moving here beats the streets, but it shouldn't be your first choice for affordable housing. I want peace. Not pain and insanity. I originally gave this place two stars. Now it gets one. Because of my right ear. I'd be charging the tenants for false alarms if I was a property manager.

I applied here and the leasing lady was a complete moron. Extremely rude ...harsh.. Definitely not in the right business .. Thinking a burger king cashier would fit her demeanor better. Caught her speaking very bad about about tenants racial things. Why would a potential tenant want to live in a building where they don't respect the tenant WHO PAY THERE SALERY . Honestly this leasing agent is a RACIST AND DISRESPECTFUL PERSON. YOU KNOW WHO U ARE ...you should be ashamed of your self. If I owned a company I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT HIRE SOMEONE LIKE THIS TO REPRESENT MY COMPANY.

Used to be a great place. Then, they started a renovation project. It has been two years, and still working on it. We get no quiet or privacy anymore. Construction people have more rights than we do. They gave us half the stuff and twice as long, plus shitty work. I suggest you find a better place. This is just a step above being in jail or the homeless shelter.

It's a good place to live close to everything good access to bus line and other places like tower city and your favorite fast food restaurants lots to do downtown. My only complaint I have is certain individuals try to steal WI-FI and streaming services you know who you two are I am aware of you. Over all I love living hear most people are nice in this building only a small select few are a problem. Over all I give 5 stars because new management is doing a good job on the remodeling. The only other complaint I have no access to public WIFI for those who can't or won't pay for it or no senior $10 cable plan for the building. I think this might be a good solution.
