    I lived in a B&A property for three years and it was a great experience. They were always very kind and responsive, on top of the property being exactly what i wanted. Anytime there was a problem, the maintenance man would be there either the same day or the next. At the end of my lease, I had a scary situation and needed to involve the police. I told B&A realty and they were extremely understanding and tried their best to help me by allowing extra accommodations to make sure I was safe. I highly recommend renting from this company, its family run and they genuinely care about their tenants. If I ever live in the campus area again, I would absolutely rent from them again!

    October of 1994, I was the unfortunate victim of this company. My husband & I were newlyweds and signed a lease. In the 2 weeks we waited to move in, they rented the apartment to someone else. They provided a different apartment, but our utilities & mail were already setup for the other address. Upon moving in, the apartment was trashed. There were several violations of the Ohio Revised Code. We ended up moving out the very next day due to the filthy conditions. We requested our deposit back, and never received it. They actually sent us a letter explaining that since we didn't pay rent for the 26 hours we were there, they kept our deposit. We had to contact an attorney, to which they still refused to provide the refund. They still owe us $515. I still have all the documentation. After I posted this review on Instagram, they blocked me.

    I have hated renting from B&A almost the entire year I have been with them! There are several problems I have with them, some of which have occurred multiple times. But first I want to say I have called them an estimated 20-25 times during business hours throughout the year and they did not answer even one time. This is completely unacceptable. They are terrible at responding to emails as well. If you email them and tell them you have a maintenance request they will either blow you off completely or solve your problem within a reasonable time. 2 times they answered in a reasonable time with problems we had. About 5-6 times they just won't respond. I went over to their office once during business hours and nobody was there either. Now because I am so sick of things not getting fixed I'm looking at ways to report them. Problems we have had: --No air conditioning: Consistently 77-82 degrees in the house. I will regularly be slightly sweating or feel it coming from just walking up the stairs or walking around. -This is miserable to sleep in. I emailed them about this they fixed it once then 2 days later it wasn't working again, and they don't respond to emails. (The day I took the picture it was 77 degrees, it is normally 80 degrees in our apartment) --Sink and dishwasher leak (through the cabinets and onto the kitchen floor) this has happened at least 3 times that I can remember. They fixed this twice and yesterday water poured out onto my feet through the bottom of the cabinet while I was washing dishes. (After leaking there is food and gross stuff that gets all under the cabinet and leaks onto the floor) --Power has been going out like once every week for about 20 minutes to 3 hours for the last 2 months. --Our ceiling looked like it was about to fall through, it was leaking water and had mold on it for 3 months. (The water leaking was pretty bad and annoying) They told us they were going to fix it over winter break. (2 months from when we asked). Then they fixed it and it still looks bad. (shown in picture- this was after they fixed it, it looked worse before) --Also I included a picture of the ceiling in our shower Bottom line: They have rarely fixed problems in my apartment. And when they do every single time the problem shows up again some time later. I would really recommend looking for another place to rent from if I were reading this. I have been very frustrated with them throughout the year. Update: I'm not sure why the photos aren't showing

    They do not take care of their properties, the office never answers their phone or returns phone calls, they do not maintain or make repairs even when the proper channels are taken by the tenant to do so, and the website message system cannot seem to be found? OSU should remove this company from their list of verifiable rentals. Worst experince ever!
