Hi, Adam! We would be happy to give an explanation! City Bites was started by 3 young men, all very artsy and hippie and hard working. They loved to create and build whimsical decor for their restaurant concept because well… they could! They were also quite the jokesters, which is why the mirrors in the restrooms exist. Just for the pure and simple joy of knowing that people were taken aback by them. Older locations that have since been moved and updated, used to have coins stuck to the floor or women’s signs on the inside of the door of the men’s restroom and visa versa for the women’s restroom with men’s sign on the inside. Sadly, with newer locations and the goal to expand with more ease, the uniqueness has been stripped from the stores a bit but we will never lose the sense of attitude and desire to not fit in that we have always had in our company. Hopefully this helps satisfy your wonder and we hope that you enjoy our whimsy interiors even more knowing that they were hand made with love by the men that started it all! ❤️
