Dr. El Amm and his plastic surgery team are the worst. They are never on the same page, have bad communication skills, very disrespectful, and do not listen to the patients. Him and his team did not listen to my mom back in October after her surgery with them which caused a staph infection. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!!!

He came in briefly, introduced himself after being an hour late. He didnt apologize or explain anything to me about an hour late. He went straight to work, and he barely asked any questions about me. I was giving him the rundown at some of the things I was suffering with and explaining just how much pain I was in. He expressed no empathy. I was in for a breast reduction of which I stressed was for medical purposes only. I have Medicaid, so I understood it was going to be a bit difficult to get my Medicare company to agree to cover it. When mentioning my concerns and asking questions on how we are to communicate with the insurance company, he said he didnt really like the conversation. Perhaps he thought I was trying to demanding, but I wasnt. I didnt even mention the fact that he was an hour late or anything I was just happy to be able to talk to him so I can see how we can do what I need to do just not even be able to talk to him. He told me to go and another surgeon.

Dr. El amm is only in the pediatric clinic 1 day per week and often he sets aside that day to only see children with cleft palates. I waited months for this appointment and then waited 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment to be seen for 5 minutes by Dr. El amm Surgery was scheduled in about a month. The day of my son's surgery, I never saw Dr. El amm. One of his team members met with us briefly before surgery and we never saw a doctor after surgery. We were told by multiple nurses the office would contact us to schedule his follow up for 2 weeks. A nurse called to follow up on my son about 4 days after the surgery and told me to wait a few more days, but if I don't hear from the office, to call. I called and was told it was up to the parent to schedule. The current week, Dr El amm would not be on the pediatric clinic, the following week, he would was only seeing cleft palate patients, so my son now has to wait a month after his procedure to have his follow up. All staff were nice, my son's procedure appears to have gone well, but I do not know why they offer a pediatric clinic to patients other than cleft palate if they offer no more than one day a week.
