If you're looking for a family lawyer who actually knows what she's doing instead of putting on some heels and trying to show up pretty to court to abuse victims and victim blame I would recommend Chelsea Payment, Clayton Tullos, John Wordworth and so on. My ex husband hired this little professional bully to start our dissolution process. Shortly after I was contacted by Ms. May who demanded I pay for half of a paternity test for my 12 year old daughter. My husband was incarcerated when she was born and was unable to sign paternity acknowledgment and was not put on my daughters birth certificate. Just for back story this would be his 3rd child this happened with the only one from me. My grandmother worked at peace health as an analyst and she also over saw birth certificates. She notified me when he was release in 2 years he'd have to petition vital records to have himself added. Ms. May send me a email with a very bully like mentality demanding I pay for half of a test as he never had himself added to her birth certificate. Almost a year after she was born court proceedings were filed naming him as the father by default. I had that judgement in my hands within a matter of minutes but yet Ms. May couldn't seem to find these legal proceedings. She proceeded to call me a liar and tell me my recollection was incorrect. My ex contacted me asking for my proof and to submit it to Ms. May. That was a hard no. Ms. May also proceeded to tell me if my ex was found to be the father he would have been added and I would have been sent a new certificate. Which could be correct if my ex and I petitioned vital records for the change and paid for a new certificate with the correct address to send it to. Ms. May was completely confused how this process worked. We are divorced and he still is not listed on her birth certificate. They proceeded to tell my 12 year old daughter she was going to have to get a needle put in her arm along with her dad to prove he was her dad. After Ms. May's attempts to bully me and try to force me to pay for a test as her client "needed a piece of mind" my daughter would run around the house asking who her dad was. My lawyer at the time said that was a clear example of parental alienation. I had to finally stand firm and request Ms. May no longer contact me again via email. She ran my ex into the ground for 25,000$ and then removed herself from the case. She never made it to a settlement conference or trial. If you have to go up against her don't let her heels and cute little skirts intimidate you while she tries to bully you. I walked away in the end with everything I WANTED. SHE MAY be number 10 in the state for a dui lawyer but I'd recommend John Kolego for a ciminal defense lawyer. I'd also recommend other firms for family court 100 percent.
