I'll start off saying I am employed by PP&R and am responsible for reserving space for public meetings multiple times per month, so I thought I would have an easy experience, but alas this was the worst rental experience I have had in my 4 years here. On the day of our public event, the building was locked and nobody was there. The people to contact were not answering and were not available to assist us. They did connect one of their board members who live nearby with me to gain access, but it took 15+ minutes of me convincing her to come let us in. She complained it wasn't worth her time to get off the couch and open the building for people she didn't trust - so what is the point of a reservation. She kept going on and on about what type of legal fund they are and why they aren't actually PP&R, yadda yadda nimbyism. After I fianlly threatended to pull our invoice she decided to walk over. By the time she arrived and unlocked the building, it was freezing cold inside because they leave the heat off and our meeting participants were arriving. And after all of this, I left my coat in the building. I contacted Lupita multiple times and recieved minimal assistance. One month later when she finally felt like doing something, she said it wasn't there. So my assumption is they are keeping it for some unknown reason. To speak of the building itself, its dated, cold, and bare bones. The people steal your belongings, and are downright cruel and rude to you. But hey, you get great views of an industrial area.
