Great building, 120 yrs old with quaint floors to prove. Expensive $40/night valet parking, no access to your vehicle. Good service and food but very expensive. An old building like this without one single photo of its history. Old floors are sloped, splintered, messed with this old lady's balance. Noisy, bad neighborhood. Holes in our sheets. Not 4 star, 3 star is generous. Really not recommended. It was nearest to where we needed to be. I recommend driving a bit more from another accomododation. Do not believe the online information Cold room, and yes the heat was on. Not surprising for its age, leaky windows

Cool historic building with a mix of modern and classic decor. Room and bed were comfy and big. We booked a last minute anniversary stay when our other plans fell through, but staff was expecting us and had put a bottle of wine and a cute note in the room. Everyone was super friendly. Good access to the inner east side and the hotel was good with their safety measures.

The shower wasn't hot enough and the neighborhood was sketchy. The bed was comfortable though and the staff was friendly.

Picked this hotel because of the convenient location, and the price was pretty good too. It is an old-world hotel that has been restored, much to period charm but the right amenities, too. I loved it. The staff seemed to love the place as much as I did. Ate at the adjacent restaurant. Waitor was very friendly and the food was excellent. I'm a bit older, but the area seemed great for people who are into nightlife. Rooms: This is a restored hotel with wood floors, very charming. The with a great amenities. Loved the style and charm. Food & drinks: At at the adjacent restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, great service, great food.

My best friend and I had ourselves a gals weekend at Hotel Grand Stark and it was truly the most restful, inspiring weekend! Three nights just simply wasn't enough. The moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted with so much kindness from Byron (at the front desk.) About 30 minutes after getting up to our room, Byron called to make sure we got gotten settled and check to see if we needed anything. Hospitality was top notch!! The entire hotel is a work of art. The lobby, the meeting space, the rooms, every single corner had so much attention to detail and intentionality poured into it. Our bed was so comfy, the rainfall shower was heavenly, loved the complimentary coffee in the mornings, and it was close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Portland. I'd stay with Hotel Grand Stark in a heartbeat!!
