We hired CDR to renovate our entire 1916 Portland Craftsman home. It was a remarkably successful experience. The entire team, from design to construction, were supportively responsive to design modifications, resourceful at specific detail discussions and were always reliable with communication throughout the entire 1year+ project. Combine that with the quality of the sub contractors skill and project managements tight scheduling, wed have to say we were very satisfied with our complete experience.

Craftsman recently completed a kitchen renovation in our 1911 Craftsman, and also moved our washer and dryer from the basement onto our second floor. In short, we could not be more satisfied with the project from beginning to end and we would not want to work with anyone else but Craftsman for any future renovations. We are in love with the quality, beauty and craftsmanship of our kitchen and know it will remain for at least another 100 years. We felt comfortable and supported by everyone at Craftsman, and enjoyed spending time with them throughout the process. The project stayed on schedule the whole time (!), which is a stark contrast to the horror stories we have heard from friends about their renovation projects. We were blown away by Craftsmans customer service. Design - Stephanie helped bring our vision to life. She was kind, patient with all of our questions and changes, a clear communicator, and very knowledgeable about products and vendors, lead times, and kitchen flow. Craftsmanship - the carpenters did top of the line work on every aspect of construction, ensuring the kitchen blended seamlessly with the rest of the house and creating a very functional work of art. They were also a pleasure to be around. Project management - we could not have been happier with our project manager - she kept us ultra informed about the schedule and questions were always handled in a timely manner. She was very organized and made us feel listened to and supported every step of the way. The project stayed on schedule with rare down days. Vendors/trades/subcontractors - Craftsman clearly has built excellent relationships with their vendors and subcontractors, which makes a big difference in keeping a project on track. All of the trades were of very high quality. The interior painter, for example, was a true artist. Trust - everyone we encountered during the project was kind, straight forward, and fun to work with. I have severe migraines that are exacerbated by certain construction odors, and I was particularly touched by how mindful the whole team was (e.g. setting up extra air scrubbers and air flow). If you want the best service and highest quality renovation, choose Craftsman Design and Renovation!

We had our Kitchen remodeled by Craftsman recently, and they were excellent to work with. They had a team (Anna and Dawn) that worked with us to design the space, then they had a team (Andrew, Jessica, and Kate with many others) do the construction. What stood out to me was the organization, professionalism, quality of the work, and the fact they were on time -- to the exact day that was promised 3 months earlier -- with completion of construction. That was impressive. They handle everything, including the complex scheduling of subs/trades and managing their work through the process. From start to finish they really delivered. I work in the Commercial Building industry and know how things can get challenging with old structures and renovations, and they anticipated everything. If you want peace of mind, and a beautiful end product, consider Craftsman. I plan to have them do more work for us at our home in the future. Service: Remodeling
