Highly recommend Alvin Chan to coordinate a re pipe job. Hes friendly and easy to work with. He answered all our calls and texts promptly before and after the job was completed. The team who came out for the installation was on time, friendly, and professional.

My mother Kathy Harrison and i truly are so grateful for having the opportunity to get new piping for our mobile home. We are truly thankful for Alven Chan for his professional Help to help my mother and I to get financing for the wonderful pipes. We truly want to also thank the professional plumbers who were the nicest and greatest crew I had ever met .

Just a broker who finds the cheapest plumbing company to do the work. The company that actually did the work did an absolutely horrible job. Everything they did was messed up in some way, and repipe specialist never checked in once or did a follow-up. There's no point in using repipe specialist.

Quick note: We received a discount as part of our agreement with Repipe Specialists as an incentive to provide an honest review (positive or negative). This is our honest feedback - not anything we were paid to provide.
The job was completed otherwise well and "on time", but with a few challenges:
- As part of the sales pitch, it was not made clear to us that Repipe Specialists is really just a sales mechanism and general contractor - the actual work would be performed by a sub-contractor, someone we didn't know at all. Moreover, that sub-contractor "Quickhouse Plumbing" seemed relatively unknown in general and does not have any Google reviews. It was a surprise and left us somewhat uneasy.
- For the initial work, we had just come back from vacation, were still catching up, and had not received any sort of reminder or heads-up ahead of the work, so we didn't know if it was actually happening or not. BUT, they did show up on-time and as otherwise expected.
- During the repipe work, the plumbing team cut clean through in-wall wiring to our hot water heater. I asked them if everything was okay, and they replied something to the effect of "just fine - just need to tape it up to fix it". What I found on later inspection was an in-wall splice made with wire nuts and badly-wrapped electrical tape. Even if done well, that's an unsafe and illegal fix. I had to follow up and request that an electrician run new wire to make the fix and make it safe. To their credit, they DID support that ultimately, and in a timely manner, but that unsafe fix never should have happened.
- In repiping and attempting to improve flow for one of our bathrooms, Quickhouse took apart our existing tub faucet and caused it to have a leak upon putting it back together. We called them back out to fix it, and they made it better, but it still isn't back to pre-work condition. They blamed the manufacturer - the faucet is Delta brand, and they swear by Moen - which I find to be a common "it isn't MY fault" argument from a plumber to absolve them of responsibility. I've chosen not to pursue the issue further, because it's not worth my time. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
- During the work, the plumbing team was discussing how to route some pipes through our water heater closet. After some discussion, one of the plumbers stated something like, "Just do it in X way. We're here to put in pipe - if they wanted it to look pretty they should've hired someone else." #1, I was literally seated at my desk just behind them when that conversation took place - rude. #2, if something may or may not be agreeable, I would at least appreciate being ASKED if something is acceptable to me. In the end, it was fine, but the experience was not.
- We partially financed the work, but the charge has yet to post to our account, and I now need to follow up with Repipe Specialists and Quickhouse (who's responsibility is that?) to check on that, and to provide our final payment after drywall (which nobody reached out to collect).
Lastly, I just want to mention that Kevin Swyers with Repipe Specialists was very much a salesperson, but a great guy to talk and work with. And Kayla Cady at Quickhouse was a fantastic, helpful, (and patient) point of contact there. Very much appreciate them both for the friendly interactions along the way.
